What happens step by step?
- We diamond grind the whole floor with vacuums attached.
- We fill cracks and chipped spots and grind the patches flush.
- We test for moisture, which matters in the humid Poteau River valley.
- We roll a primer, a pigmented base, and a clear topcoat, adding chips if you want them.
Grinding throws fine silica dust, so our dust collection runs nonstop. OSHA covers silica dust here.
Why do older Poteau garages need extra prep?
Many houses in town have garages that have held trucks and mowers for decades. Those slabs carry soaked-in oil and sometimes old porch paint. Both have to come off, or the new coating will let go.
What changes the cost?
- How many bays the garage has.
- Whether old paint or a kit coating has to be removed.
- How many cracks need filling.
- Whether you want a faster-curing topcoat.
Garage coating questions
Can I keep my freezer in the garage during the job?
It has to come out while we grind and coat. Most people run it on the porch for a couple of days.
What about the step up into the house?
We can coat steps and the landing too. Just mention it when we measure.
